At the Oxford Preservation Trust Awards ceremony on 12 November 2013, St Antony’s College was announced as one of three joint winners in the New Buildings category for the Gateway Buildings. We have been presented with a plaque to display in College.
The design team aimed to create a new building that is both contemporary and quintessentially Oxford. The Oxford Preservation Trust is an influential organization in recognizing this type of contribution, and so to have their sanction that we have achieved this means a huge amount.
The other winners were Niall McLoughlin’s stunning chapel at Ripon College, and the impressive new quad created at Pembroke College by Bermann Guedes Stretton, so we are in very good company indeed.
